Under the new scheme retirees or their dependents will receive a modest lump sum followed by a monthly pension for life, or in the case of survivors’ benefits, until the dependents children reach a specified age.

Benefits under the proposed Scheme include:

• Retirement Pension (At 60 years)
• Invalidity Pension
• Survivor’s Pension
• Maternity Grant (for non- medical incidental expenses)
• Emigration Grant
• Funeral Grant.
